Arctur at the Global Frontier of HPC & AI: Insights from EuroHPC Summit and NVIDIA GTC

16. 4. 2025 / Industry Arctur continues to lead in high-performance computing and AI innovation, recently participating in two major global events—EuroHPC Summit 2025 in Krakow and NVIDIA GTC in San Jose. Our team shared expertise, explored future-shaping technologies, and reinforced Arctur’s commitment to driving progress in Europe's HPC and AI ecosystems.

At its core, Arctur is an HPC provider, owning and operating a cutting-edge HPC infrastructure and data center, which serves as the backbone of all our business activities. While we continuously innovate and develop advanced software solutions and engage in R&D, our deep expertise in high-performance computing remains fundamental.

In March, our HPC team was on the move—exploring the latest in HPC & AI, gaining new insights, and networking with fellow tech and business enthusiasts around the world.

Arctur participated in the EuroHPC Summit 2025 in Krakow (March 18–22), where Europe’s top HPC and quantum computing players gathered to shape the future of AI. Our team—Tina Črnigoj Marc (Project Manager) and Tristan Pahor (Data Center Manager)—actively engaged in discussions, showcased success stories, and promoted the FFplus project.

Tina emphasized the importance of staying connected with the European HPC ecosystem: “Events like this are key for sharing knowledge, forging partnerships, and helping drive innovation across industry and research.”

As key members of the EUROCC2 project and long-standing Fortissimo contributors, Arctur continues to empower businesses to adopt HPC and AI solutions. This year’s summit spotlighted Europe’s AI Factories—Slovenia now proudly hosts one of six, reinforcing its role in Europe's competitive AI landscape.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe, Arctur AI Team attended the NVIDIA GTC AI Conference in San Jose, USA. They immersed themselves in inspiring sessions, cutting-edge exhibitions, and high-impact discussions, connecting with thousands of developers, innovators, and business leaders shaping the future of AI.

Tomi Ilijaš, CEO of Arctur pointed out, “Quantum won’t replace classical compute but augment it—GPUs will remain the backbone, handling parallelizable workloads while orchestrating quantum co-processors. Nvidia’s bet on interoperability (software, libraries, hardware) positions them as a linchpin in this transition.”
