Call for proposals FP7
As R&D oriented organisation, ARCTUR is avidly following the 7th Framework Programme related activities. Call for proposals are an excellent opportunity to establish new international co-operation, and to boost our research and development work. We invite all project proposers and consortia that find our expertise potentially useful for their project proposals to contact us. Deadlines for project proposals submissions in various FP7 Themes are approaching fast, but with swift and well coordinated effort we can still prepare our contribution to the proposal documentation. Arctur is potential provider of ICT and HPC/Cloud computing support for various scientific areas, hence we are not limited to co-operate only in those FP7 Call that are directly related to ICT Theme. As a matter of fact, we are currently involved in preparation of several FP7 project proposals, spanning from Factories of the Future to the Food, Agriculture, Fisheries and Biotechnology Themes. Understanding the importance of continuous progress, Arctur has its own R&D department, registered with the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS). The research areas covered are based on applied mathematics and computing which are directly implemented in various numerical simulations, real-life IT solutions and products, e.g. universal accessibility interfaces, e-government and e-inclusion applications, applied statistical analysis and complex management. Our expertise, combined with our own HPC/Cloud Computing infrastructure makes us an interseting potential partner for different project consortia. Besides R&D actrivities, we can also play a role of a user/pilot case for different projects aimed at developing new ICT paradigms. Several opportunities along this venue opened and are discussed after our visit to the Information Day on FP7, Objective 1.2 Call 8, held on 27th Septembre in Bruxelles. Last, but not least, we can also contribute to project management of the consortia, and to dissemination activities.
