The ENACT project brings together a team of 16 experienced partners from 9 EU countries, including Arctur, with the aim of delivering a Cognitive Computing Continuum (CCC), including delivering: a.) tools to connect and discover resources, devices and services across Edge-Cloud continuum, b.) AI optimiser capable of managing applications across distributed (edge and cloud) nodes in an optimal way, and c.) an innovative application development toolkit or Application Programming Model (APM) to support the development of platform-agnostic distributed applications capable of self-determining their optimal deployment and execution configurations.

All ENACT project consortium partners met for a two-day General Assembly meeting in picturesque Caparica, Portugal, where the administrative and technical aspects of the project were discussed. With each work package of the project under review, the overall focus of the meeting was on the technical side, with the Cognitive Computing Continuum’s (CCC) architecture being set as a result.

It is worth outlining that the outcomes of the project’s research and development activities will be delivered as open-source solutions, with the goal of allowing European businesses to enhance their competencies and upgrade their IT services with latest innovations.

As the project continues to push the boundaries of cognitive cloud technologies, we look forward to contributing to a brighter, more connected future powered by intelligent and adaptive computing solutions.
