Gorenje, in collaboration with Dewesoft and Arctur, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art acoustic laboratory, the largest of its kind in Slovenia and this part of Europe. This significant investment, valued at over one million euros with partial funding from the EU, is crucial for developing low-emission household appliances as part of the "Development of Low-Emission Household Appliances and Verification Systems (R-NEA-SV)" project.

The 23m x 23m laboratory features a semi-anechoic chamber of 7.7m x 7.5m x 5.4m, one of the largest in Europe for household appliance testing, enabling precise low noise level and low-frequency noise measurements.

Gorenje will use the lab to develop energy-efficient refrigerators (energy class A) and low-emission washing machines under the Asko brand. These appliances aim to reduce energy and water consumption, minimize noise, and incorporate more recycled materials, aligning with Gorenje’s sustainability goals.

This initiative showcases the collaboration between Gorenje, Dewesoft, and Arctur, supported by the EU, to advance sustainable household technology.
