Innovation is our guide: Arctur won two prizes in the best innovations of the North Primorska contest
Did you know that Arctur has received numerous awards to date, including 14 awards for innovation? Every year the awards for the best innovations of the North Primorska are handed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia to entrepreneurs which bring innovations in their business. In 2020, two of Arctur´s innovative digital tools were awarded: Tourism Impact Model (TIM) received golden, and the Automated Assessment Tool (AAT) silver plaquette.
Despite the economy being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic this year, the call for the best regional innovations has been again very successful. The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Boštjan Gorjup, said, that "the North Primorska region represents 5% of the Slovenian economy and is always marked by an above-average number of innovations".
At Arctur, too, we are aware that innovation is the engine of the economy.
This year, two digital tools were registered and placed in the competition, which were developed by Arctur´s experts. At the regional level, the Tourism Impact Model (TIM), was awarded the golden plaquette. TIM is a comprehensive tool for modelling and optimization of the tourism impact on a local ecosystem through fostering collaboration between different stakeholders. As such, it enables the assessment of the impact of tourism. This tool brings real data in the perception of the impact of tourism to sharpen the real picture for everyone and allow data-driven strategic planning. TIM will be tested in two international projects, Tourism for the Black Sea and within the project Amazing AoE .
The silver plaquette went to Automated Assessment Tool (AAT), a tool for the implementation of complex assessment processes and automated report generation based on a multiattribute decision-making model. AAT enables the analysis and visualisation of the current situation of the assessor and recommendations for improving their potential to be automatically generated based on the answers obtained from the questionnaire. The tool allows users, in contrast to the traditional way of conducting an interview and preparing an analysis, to perform a significantly shorter assessment process.
