European strategic project SME / HPC is successfully concluded!
The SME / HPC project was co-funded by the EU Erasmus + Knowledge Alliances Program. Within the project, guidelines, programs, and materials suitable for training representatives from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) about the potentials and benefits of using advanced technologies and HPC services, were developed.
An international closing conference of the SME / HPC project entitled: The Future of Business - organizations meet digital technologies was held online 6 - 7th October. The event was attended by up to 80 participants and had the aim of networking and sharing experiences in the field of advanced technologies.
Representatives of academia and business from all over Europe touched on the pressing issues of business development. Further, the importance of the project results and the future shift of European high-tech development were also discussed. Participants from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Moldova, and other countries touched on the pressing issues of business development.
“The theme of the conference was focused on topics such as digitalization of companies and the problems caused by the introduction of digitalization, the transition of companies to 4.0 industry, integration and the added value provided by the use of information and communication technologies. During the general discussion, it was found that the participants were very interested in topics, such as data security, availability of infrastructure, and cultural barriers to the use of advanced technologies, "said prof. dr. Borut Roncevic from the Faculty of Information Studies Novo Mesto.
